Pencil’em is happy to announce some new features that will be released very soon. This is our direct response to your requests for these features. We appreciate your feedback and want to make sure the software continues to work better for you.
Groups
Groups is how Pencil’em enables you to categorize your clients in order to message to specific people. For example, you could create a group called “Manicure” and add all your clients that always get manicures. You could create a group called “Pedicure” for your clients that exclusively get Pedicures. The benefit of this is you are creating a targeted marketing audience for your own messaging.
Lets say you find yourself with a hole in your schedule. You figure the best way to fill your schedule is by offering a special on Manicures. You could use your “Manicure” group to message specifically to the people you know will respond to a special on Manicures. It’s called Targeted Marketing….and it’s $valuable$.
The groups screen lets you manage your client groups with ease!
Services
This one is pretty straight forward. The new services functions allow you enter specific services you provide and how much they cost. A service can then be selected when creating an appointment. The services screen will also show you individual clients that typically use specific services (This is useful for creating groups…see above).
It’s also worth a note that one of the upcoming features of Pencil’em is the ability for your clients to book their own appointments with you. The services will be used in this feature so the client can let you know what they need done. This is currently an optional feature, but you would be doing yourself a favor to set these up as soon as you create your Pencil’em account. It will become incredibly important as you start to leverage the power of the aforementioned “Groups”.
The services screen lets your quickly add your services and their associated costs.
